Born in Belfast and working from her East London studio, designer Tara Hakin has dressed a number of fashion-forward influential women, including Julia Fox and Rosalía. Her namesake brand has become known for its selection of tactile and sensual garments, which are designed to emphasize the body’s natural shape.
Graphic prints adorn trompe l’oeil mesh tops, hooded sleeves, and angled leather dresses rendered in signature asymmetric cuts and blood-red textiles. With designs both enduring and risqué, Tara Hakin creates sultry collections to embolden the modern woman.
For her latest collection, Hakin collaborated with emerging London photographer Jesse Crankson. “I had been admiring Jesse's work for a while before he reached out saying he would like to set up a shoot,” she explains.
